UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH.
I picked this book up on a whim at work. The cover is really lovely isn't it? Unfortunately there's also a nice dose of racism on the second page. Some dude slants his eyes and apparently that makes him look Chinese! His mustache is literally described as Fu Manchu! I know the book is set in the 70s (this is still super racist for the 70s) BUT IT WAS PUBLISHED IN 2014 FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
Maybe the rest of the book is brilliant. I will never know because I'm not touching it again. I'm actually never touching anything by Mimi Pond ever again considering she said, "I think racial sensitivity is a good thing, feminism is the greatest thing." Look, white feminism at its best.
