Mieko and the Fifth Treasure
I'm sure my review of this book is colored by nostalgia. It's a short, sweet story.
I love the cover illustration and the calligraphy chapter titles. My biggest issue is the spoon Mieko uses while eating miso soup on pg 19 (I've never used a spoon while eating miso soup. You just eat it from the bowl).
