Edited April 7, 2021 (but should have been edited much, much earlier): Rainbow Rowell is an unapologetic racist who profits off of her poorly written Asian character and then ignores actual Asian people and the issues and real-life racism they face. People have been pointing out issues with E&P since it was published in 2012 and Rainbow Rowell has not only never addressed the racist writing within the book, she actively ignores people who bring it up. So, like, don't read her books or give her your money. Go support Asian creators instead!
