I was surprised that the book is told in one continuous shot without any chapters to break it up. That might make it a little difficult for beginning readers to get through the book on their own. The story is fun and imaginative; I do wish the crew had gender parity though. Lieutenant Lily is a great character, but sometimes her actions felt a bit exceptionalist since she’s the only female character in the story.
