Bloomability
This is a book that I read and loved as a kid, and it still holds charm for me as an adult. One of my coworkers asked me which Sharon Creech I would do for Book Club, Walk Two Moons or Absolutely Normal Chaos and I immediately answered Bloomability. I don't know that it would actually make a great discussion book, it's just my favorite.
I love the friendships and the conflicts which feel realistic and salient without being overly teenage dramatic (probably because the most dramatic "teenager-y" character is a secondary character who dips in and out of the story).
