They Called Us Enemy - Steven Scott, Justin Eisinger, George Takei, Harmony Becker

I think the book did a great job of representing a lot about Japanese Internment that doesn't get covered other places. Like just how complicated it was for so many of the people incarcerated. I'd never heard a story like George Takei's mother's story.

 

I liked the smaller beats within the story as well, like the train ride to Arkansas or eating in the mess halls (covered in plenty of literature, but still interesting in this comic).
