When I started this book, I thought it would read like The Shadow of the Wind. Instead it reads like... well, I don't know. It's an adventure story with a mild side of mystery and a lot of Google thrown in. Despite not knowing what I was getting into when I started it, I enjoyed it a lot (it definitely didn't hurt that it's set in the Bay Area).
