Meet Yasmin
I'm procrastinating on my final final by posting my penultimate final here (pieces of it anyway). Trying to space it out since there's almost 60 titles....
In four short stories, Yasmin finds herself in lots of trouble but always finds a creative way out. Yasmin’s Pakistani American Muslim family factors into several of the stories in a very natural way. Nothing about their culture is over explained, and the characters are not othered within the narrative. The book includes discussion questions, an Urdu glossary, an activity and facts on Pakistan. I look forward to the many adventures Yasmin will have in the future.
