I had a long thing typed up but then my browser crashed so let me just say that this book was so so good (I had actual goosebumps while Jake saw the mission in its entirety). Everything has been leading up to this and it didn't disappoint. We're seeing so much pay off for the groundwork laid in the series.
In the future there are books I'll probably be tempted to skip all together, but I think that would be a mistake. Even the bad books, even all the bits that don't make sense or contradict each other, I think they're all worth reading. I think there's something in each of them that contributes to where the characters are in this penultimate book and to miss any of it would be a shame.
