The Underground is an OK book. There were some things I didn't understand in the middle and the beginning is very dismissive of suicidal feelings. This is also another book that doesn't really affect the rest of the storyline (if I recall correctly) which is unfortunate since Rachel's last book (The Reaction) didn't really advance the story either.
Just one question under the cut.
What's with the assumption that Visser Three is always eating/absorbing through his hooves? I mean, humans don't have to ingest everything that comes into our mouths (we're not constantly drinking the sea when we're swimming in the ocean), so wouldn't it make sense that Andalites can do the same?
I lied, one more thing: I was definitely getting more-than-friends vibes from Rachel's worry about Cassie in this book and now I'm mad that all the Animorphs are straight (the books are super heteronormative so far, even all the aliens are straight).
