An Un-Calibrated Centrifuge

It is killing me to give a Cassie book a 2.5. But there's really nothing to save the rating of this book. While The Forgotten has time travel and The Reaction is delightfully 90s and The Change has alien backstory this one has... well, a lot of nothing.

Cassie's voice feels off again. She calls an animal dumb in the beginning of the book. The book also stretches my suspension of disbelief too far.*

I didn't read this one as a kid and I have to say that was good instincts on my part.

*We're honestly supposed to believe that none of these places (the Gardens, the racetrack and especially a top secret air force base) don't have any security cameras anywhere? Seriously?

Also why do the Animorphs take so long to acquire bird morphs that are good for distance flight? Cassie says her osprey morph is good for distance, but that's not really true from what we've seen in the series. Acquire a migratory bird already. Also, then they could fly in a flock and it wouldn't look weird.
