Ax's books are some of the funniest in the series, but this one also gets pretty serious. I think Applegate does a good job of writing Ax as an alien, but there is the weird quirk where Andalites describe things in Earth [minutes, miles, days, etc]. That's probably easier than coming up with alien times/measurements, but it did seem strange to me as I was rereading the book.
Lots of questions under the cut.
It's never bothered me before but an indoor school (as opposed to open air) seems strange for the Animorphs' location.
Ax and chocolate are mentioned in both The Capture and The Stranger yet at the movies it's the first time he's eaten/seen chocolate.
Ax says when he's in human morph he can't use thought-speak, but that seems strange. A human body overrides thought-speak ability? I don't think this rule makes sense with the other morphing rules.
Marco is living in a new house. In The Capture he and his dad have just moved from one apartment to another. Just a KASU?
Even aliens are straight. Really?
