Londoners

Londoners: The Days and Nights of London Now - As Told by Those Who Love It, Hate It, Live It, Left It, and Long for It - Craig Taylor

I'm finally admitting to myself that I don't want to finish this book. I enjoyed most of the bits I read and skipped the ones I wasn't enjoying.

I found it interesting the way people's descriptions and experiences of London overlapped. I especially liked all the artists' stories (particularly the actor... I can't remember any of the names). There's some causal racism throughout (which I would say is very characteristic of London), nothing unbearable, but enough that I quit reading some people's sections.

This might be a book to pick up periodically and skip about in rather than one to sit down and read straight through.
