Honestly I was expecting something a little more salacious when I picked up this book. It's less a mystery and more a catalog of various copies of the First Folio. Rasmussen manages to pack a lot of information into each chapter, but there's not much story.
It's well-written nonfiction, a fast read, well footnoted and indexed. I've been reading a lot about art thefts and forgeries this year and while this book wasn't as gripping as some of the others I've read, it was still full of interesting information. I felt inspired to reread Bill Bryson's Shakespeare and finish AS Byatt's Possession as I was reading this.
ETA: First reread went well. I enjoyed the book and reread it after rereading Bill Bryson's Shakespeare biography.
