Is the main character of this book white? Because if it is the writing assumes white is the default race for humans.
If the main character isn't actually white I 1. will be VERY surprised and 2. might give this book another shot. But as it is I don't need to read another book about white LGBT teens. Give me some characters of color for crying out loud (who aren't fetishized and stereotyped).
