I first read this book in a college class so it doesn't have that nostalgia factor for me.
Tuck Everlasting is a quick short read. It uses the g slur (once) and the q slur (twice maybe?). The writing is atmospheric but simple. I did find it a little creepy that Winnie is only 10 in the book. The story might have made more sense if she were a little older.
