The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing - Marie Kondō

This is a short book that can be read fairly quickly, though if you're planning on KonMari-ing your house, it would probably be good to have a copy on hand so you know which order you should discard in.

I like Kondo's idea of keeping things that spark joy. It seems like a much simpler, easier way to go through your things than most organizational systems. I tried it with a few of my own things and while it's difficult to actually give some things away, it's pretty simple to tell whether they bring joy or not.

I might attempt to use Kondo's system to pare down my library. I don't think I'll implement it perfectly, but I think it might help me let go of some older books I've kept too long.
