I think the climax of the story happened a little early for my tastes. I didn't need... three(?) volumes about Sakura's relationship at the end, but at least those volumes read quickly. I'm not familiar with the Magical Girl genre. Maybe that's a common trope/story structure?
Some of the relationships did creep me out, but there's no thing sexual in the stories (explicit or implied) so it wasn't that bad. All in all I enjoyed this series.
PS I watched part of the anime and no one sounds how I imagined.
