My dad once said to me, "You give a lot of books three stars." I do.
Initially this book appears to be a collection of short stories. All the narratives are brought together in the last story though. Ward is a good writer, and even though I liked some stories better than others, they were all enjoyable. It's a little reminiscent of Girl in Hyacinth Blue by Susan Vreeland (that book follows the story of one painting while Girl Reads is about six subjects of six paintings/works of art).
