I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic
The 8-year-old I watch has this book. I read it while she did her math homework. She told me that she likes the series and that all the main characters are boys (in the ones she's read). That's a little disappointing. But the story itself was good, and there were some interesting historical notes included in the back.
