My dad once said to me, "You give a lot of books three stars." I do.
I got worried at the end of this book. I wasn't sure where the story was going to go from here (I'm still not), but the actual ending of the story makes me feel better about starting the next book. There's a lot of spur of the moment explanations of magic, but I'm invested in the characters so it didn't bother me too much that a lot of stuff just happens at the end.
I did find one of the volumes strange (but still enjoyable). I hope something comes of it in the next two books, but if nothing does that's probably OK too. It was such a small part of the story. (I'm being purposely vague because I don't want to spoil anything!)
